Please note that this event is happening on Wednesday 25th October.
In 2013, psychological thriller writer A J Waines published a novel, Girl On A Train. Two years later and the book saw a big increase in sales; as The Wall Street journal reported it ‘wasn’t the book readers were expecting’. Come and listen as she tells the story of how her book was confused with Paula Hawkins’ later release, discusses being both a self-published and traditionally published writer, and talks about her new book, Lost In The Lake.
First started at The Notes cafe in 2016, In Conversation with Charlie Place is a literary event series that sees authors discussing their work and life as a writer. Previous guests include historical novelist Elizabeth Fremantle and memoir writer Cathy Rentzenbrink.
A local book reviewer, Charlie writes at The Worm Hole. She was a shadow judge for last year’s The Sunday Times’ Young Writer of the Year award.
Please note: a limited number of copies of Lost In The Lake will be available on the night; all of A J Waines’s books can be bought on Amazon.
